UDHAMPUR, May 9: One person was killed and six other members of his family got injured when their car collided with a truck on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Rehmbal, this morning.
Identity of the deceased was established as Raj Kumar son of Karan of Garhi Udhampur while his wife Shemma, eight years old daughter Mahi and son (12) Ayush alongwith three others sustained critical injuries. Other victims were identified as Manisha of Chopra Shop Udhampur, Ajay Kumar son of Mohan Singh and Nidhi daughter of Manohar Singh of Garhi.
The injured were rushed to Udhampur hospital where Ajay Kumar and Ayush Kumar were referred to Command Hospital Northern Command due to serious condition of the duo.
Police have registered a case in this connection while body of the deceased was handed over to the family after conducting postmortem.
