One killed, 3 hurt as Tata Sumo plunges into gorge

POONCH, May 11:   One person was killed while three others were injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle skidded   into a gorge in Gursai area of Mendhar Sub Division this evening.
A police spokesman giving details said that mishap took place at around 5.20 pm when the ill-fated Sumo bearing registration No. JK-11/4688 was on way to Sangiot from Balakote area.  Near Totan Wali Gali, the driver lost control and the vehicle landed  into a gorge.

While, one Mohd Yousuf, son of Lal Din,  from Sangiot and  working as night Chowkidar in BDO office Balakote  was killed on the spot, three other injured persons were shifted to nearby Army Hospital at Bhimber Gali. Later, one of them namely,  Mehmood Khan, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Mangalnar  was referred  to District Hospital, Rajouri.
The two other injured were  identified as,  Mohd Rafiq, resident of  Sangiot and  Nazakat Ali,  resident of  of Keri Kangra in Mendhar.  The police party led by SHO Gursai Sanjay Gupta rescued the injured to hospital. It has taken cognizance of the matter.
