RAJOURI, June 7: One member of a family was killed while three others were injured when a Mauti car met with an accident in Manjakote area of district Rajouri this morning.
Official sources said that 60-year-old Abdul Gani, son of Abdul Joo, resident of Ward No. 17, Poonch was killed on the spot while three other members were injured when their car (WagnR) No. JK11-A/ 2178, rolled into a gorge near Kakora village on Rajouri- Poonch highway at around 8.30 am. The family was on way to Poonch from Jammu.
While Abdul Gani was killed on the spot, three other injured persons were shifted to Manjakote hospital and then referred to District Hospital, Rajouri. They were identified as Ghulam Ahmed, son of Abdul Joo; Saja Begum, wife of Gh Ahmed and Naseem Akhtar, wife of Shakoor Ahmed, all residents of Ward No. 17, Poonch. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
