JAMMU, Jan 20: Police today seized large quantity of illicit liquor pouches and nabbed a bootlegger in holy town Katra.
Additional SP Katra Kulbir Singh told that on specific inputs, police team from Katra police station conducted a raid in a house at Ward No 10.
During the raid, police recovered around 11 cartoons filled with over 350 pouches of illicit liquor, Singh added.
“The accused identified as Sunny Singh, son of Hem Raj of Ward No 10, Katra managed to escape from the spot but was chased and nabbed by the police team, ASP said.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Katra police station and investigation started.
