JAMMU, Mar 12: A man was nabbed with intoxicants at Akhnoor town on outskirts of Jammu.
According to a police official, a police team led by ASI Angrez Singh of police station Akhnoor was on patrolling duty at Akhnoor town. The patrolling party when reached Sungal Morh (near Sukhdev Singh Petrol Pump), a man was found coming from opposite direction but on seeing the police party he suddenly changed his direction and tried to run away.
“However, he was chased and nabbed by alert cops”, the official said, adding, during his personal search, police party recovered 110 intoxicative capsules from his possession and during questioning he fail to justify the reason for keeping such type of intoxicant capsule in his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR No 42/2018 under relevant sections of laws had been registered at police station Akhnoor and further investigation of the case was going on. During enquiry the accused was identified as resident of Akhnoor town.
The whole operation was led by SHO, police station Akhnoor, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh under the supervision of Munish Kumar, SDPO Akhnoor and Shivdeep Singh Jamwal SP (Rural), Jammu.
