One dies, 5 injured in mishaps

Srinagar, Feb 27: Police today said one person died and five others were injured in different road accidents across Kashmir.
A Police spokesman said a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01K-7263 collided with a road divider at Barzulla Bridge, in Srinagar resulting in serious injuries to the motorcyclist.
“He was identified as Rayees Javaid son of Javaid Ahmad Thoker, a resident of Barzulla, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries”.
He said in North Kashmir’s Kupwara Town, a tipper bearing registration number JK09-7486 hit and injured a pedestrian.”The injured girl was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar for treatment”, he said.
He added that the girl was identified as Uzma Jan daughter of Ghulam Qadir Lone, a resident of Warnow, Lalpora in Kupwara.
He also said a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK09-3727 hit and injured two pedestrians identified as Mohammad Irfan Cheechi son of Baghu Cheechi and Anwar Cheechi son of Misri Cheechi both resident of Nachyian, Karnah, “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Kupwara police registered cases regarding these accidents”, he said.
He also said in Budgam, a Maruti-800 bearing registration number JK01H-4779 met with an accident at Charari Sharief-Pakherpora road near Monu, Charari-Sharief, resulting in injuries to a person identified as Shabir Ahmad Kumar, who was traveling in the car. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Budgam police registered a case in this regard”, he said.
He said in Anantnag, a Honda vehicle bearing registration number DL4CAV-2736 hit and injured a 6 years old boy identified as Fahid Ahmad Bhat son of Ashiq Hussain resident of Sethar, Bijbehara at Sethar. The Injured was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment. Anantnag police registered a case in this regard.
