RAJOURI, July 10: One person was killed while three others were injured when a car met with an accident on Jammu-Poonch highway near Chingus in district Rajouri this morning.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when a WagnR, bearing registration No. JK08B/ 9272 was on way to Surankote from Jammu. Near Dhanwa in Chingus, the vehicle went out of control and fell into a gorge, resulting into the death of a woman. The deceased was identified as Sofia Begum (48), wife of Mohd Sharief, resident of Bafliaz in Poonch.
Three others were injured in the mishap and they were later shifted to District Hospital, Rajouri by police. They are identified as – Mohd Sharief (55), son of Gulla Khan, Sofia Kouser, daughter of Mohd Sharief and 2 year old child Adina Arif, daughter of Mohd Arif, all residents of Bafliaz. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
