POONCH, Jan 2: One person was killed while three others were injured when a car rolled down into a gorge in Mandi area of district Poonch this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the car bearing registration No. JK-12/ 1252 which was on way to Mandi from Arai village, went out of control and rolled down into a gorge near BSF unit on the outskirts of Mandi town today. While one person was killed on the spot, three others were injured and shifted to Mandi hospital and later referred to District Hospital Poonch.
The deceased was identified as Sheraz Ahmed (22), son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Arai in Mandi. The three injured undergoing treatment at hospital are- Wasim Ahmed, Ikhlaq Ahmed and Niaz Ahmed, residents of Arai. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
