One day OBC convention held at Vijaypur

SAMBA, Mar 19:   In order to highlight the problems faced by the Other Bachward Classes (OBC) community, one day convention of OBCs was held at Vijaypur in district Samba today in which Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga was chief guest while Vice Chairman of OBC Advisory Board and MoS Rashpal Verma was guest of honour.
During the convention people belonging to different sub castes of OBC’s projected their demands i.e. low percentage in recruitment, issuance of one time OBC certificate, reserved quota in MLC’s-Panchayats-Local Bodies elections, etc.
While addressing the gathering of OBCs, Rashpal Verma assured them to project their genuine demands during Board meeting of OBCs with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and he would try his best to get these demands solved.
Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga also addressed the convention. He said that the State Government is trying to mitigate all the issues of OBCs so that they get the justice. Ganga said that it is earnest desire of Union Government led by Narendra Modi and State coalition of PDP and BJP that every section of society is given justice and his living standard is improved. He appealed the people to take the benefit of all schemes and projects launched for welfare of the people by both Union as well as State Government.
On the occasion bodies for Vijaypur block of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha and Bharatiya Janata Party Anusuchit Janjaati Morcha was framed under the leadership of Chander Prakash Ganga.
