JAMMU, Oct 20: An anthology of articles, reflecting the cultural heritage and folk history of Ramnagar, entitled ‘Bandaralta Darpan’ by Om Sharma ‘Jandriari’, was released today during a function organized by Dogri Sanstha at J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, here today.
Prof Lalit Magotra, renowned litterateur and Convener, Advisory Board (Dogri) Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi was the chief guest on this occasion while Arvinder Aman, Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages was special guest.
A paper was presented by Prof Shiv Nirmohi on the book Bandaralta Darpan which is a collection of 14 articles covering cultural, social and religious life of Dudu, Ramnagar and Udhampur. Some articles on famous shrines of Ramnagar and Dudu and contribution of local writers to the development of Dogri Language and Literature have been incorporated in the book.
