Old City traders discuss demands

JAMMU, June 6: The Old City Traders Association in a meeting here, today discussed various issues confronted them.
The main issues figured during the meeting were parking of vehicles at Purani Mandi Chowk, regular power cuts by the department, shortage of water supply in the area, closures of bazaars (Old City) for Summer Vacations on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of June and security of bazaars.
After detailed deliberations on all these issues by the traders of Old City it was decided unanimously that all these important issues be brought to the notice of Rajesh Gupta M.L.A Jammu  East,  Sat Sharma Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Kavinder Gupta Deputy Chief Minister for redressal of the same. It was also decided that Old City bazaars will observe Summer Vacations on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of June 2018 and the bazaars (Old City) remain closed on these days.
The Traders Association Old City further decided that while announcing the Jammu Bandh, the organisations before making such a call must consult the Traders Associations Old City Jammu well in advance.
Narayan Singh president, Patel Bazaar Fattu Chowgan Traders Association assured all the presidents Traders Associations of Old City that matter will be brought into the notice of appropriate forum and the next meeting of Traders Associations Old City will be held on last Saturday of each month.
