OCC defeats BCC in 1st Quarter Final

JAMMU, July 29: Oriental Cricket Club (OCC) defeated Brahum Cricket Club (BCC) by 77 runs in the 1st Quarter Final match of 1st KPL Pink Ball Cricket Tournament, played today here at KC Sports Club.
Batting first, OCC scored a fighting total of 144 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Chander made a half-century in 42 balls while Rohan also contributed 22 runs in 19 balls. For BCC, both Rajesh and Rajat Safaya bowled brilliantly and took 2 wickets each.
In reply, BCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on 67 runs in 16.2 overs and thus lost the match to OCC by a big margin of 77 wickets. Abhishek made 24 runs in 23 balls while Rajat Safaya scored 14 runs in 20 balls. For OCC, Vimarsh Kaw scalped 3 important wickets while Sahil took 2 wickets. Chander was adjudged as Man of the Match for his extra ordinary fielding and impressive performance with the bat.
The match was officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires whereas Rehan Rana acted as scorer. The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports & Event.
