UDHAMPUR, Dec 28: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Udhampur organized two days District Level Sports Tournament at Mini Stadium, here today.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of NYV Nitish Khajuria, Ramneek Dogra and Abhinav Prasher.
The second day programme was divided into two sessions.
In the first session, SSP Udhampur Rayees Bhat was the chief guest and DySP Kameshwar Puri was the guest of honour. DYC NYK Udhampur Nissar Ahmed Butt was present during the programme and felicitated the winners.
The final matches of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Badminton and Long Jump were played on the occasion. In the Long Jump Pankaj, Sunil Kumar and Shubham Singh secured first, second and third position respectively.
In final battle of Volleyball, Majalta Youth Club emerged as the winner whereas Garnai Youth Club as the runners-up. Udhampur Kabaddi Club-1 won the match and Star Screen Youth Club remained runners-up.
In Badminton (Boys), Puranjay Sharma, Naman Singh and Aryan secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively and in Badminton (Girls) Stuti , Ananya Gupta and Shubi Khajuria stood first, second and third respectively.
In the final, Tug of War, Udhampur won the match and Tikri remained at second place. Sanjay Sharma, Naveen Sharma and Sanjeev Verma officiated the matches.
In the second session, District Level Cultural Programme was organized in which DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest. The Principal of Sai Sangeet Musical Academy, Udhampur Ram Bhardwaj along with Sham Bhardwaj were the adjudicators.
The team of NYVS who performed Dogri Dance was successful to clinch the first prize. The 2nd prize was given to Radha and Ambica Magotra secured third position.
