JAMMU, Apr 28: NSUI has reiterated its demand for complete revocation of SRO-202 and said that agitation for the same even as the Government has extended the benefits of pay revision under 7th Pay Commission to all such employees right from January 1, 2016.
“Revision of pay scale was not the demand of NSUI, which has been fighting for total revocation of SRO-202 and the fight will continue till Govt rolls back this unfair policy,” said NSUI State president Raqeeq Khan while addressing a press conference, here today.
He mentioned that the Government has only revised pay scale while transfer policy and probation period also need to be re-considered, for which total revocation of SRO-202 is required. “The whole policy is full of loopholes and creates inequality among citizens, scraping one part of policy is not enough to do justice with us,” he added.
Lambasting the Government, Khan said that the Government was forcing youth to come on roads and challenge law and order. “Govt is neglecting the genuine demands of educated youth which raises a question on behaviour of the establishment towards citizens,” he said and reiterated that the NSUI would continue its fight against this discriminatory policy by staging protests all over the State.
