NSUI organizes drug de-addiction awareness programme

JAMMU, Jan 2: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) today organized a drug de- addiction awareness programme at Simbal Camp Jammu.
The event, organized by Avijot Singh, State general secretary NSUI and Naib Sarpanch Harvinder Singh Kaku, was presided over by NSUI State president Neeraj Kundan while PCC general secretary Shahnawaz Choudhary was chief guest on the occasion and former MLA Gharu Ram Bhagat was the guest of honour.
Shahnawaz Choudhary termed drug addiction as a very serious problem and spoke in detail about preventive measures against the same. He appreciated NSUI for organizing such awareness programmes and said that it was responsibility of everyone to extend active support in crusade against the drug menace.
Neeraj Kundan said that focus of the programme was to provide insight to the students about the seriousness of drug addiction and the reasons for widespread increasing menace.
Former MLA Gharu Ram Bhagat also spoke on the occasion and stressed for a united fight against the menace.
Others, who participated in the campaign, included Karanjit Singh, Rajinder Singh, Karamjit Singh, Madan Lal, Ranyal Singh, Puneet Singh, Sunny Parihar, Ranjot Singh and Khalid.
