NSUI continues protest for change in pattern of JUET, re-evaluation

JAMMU, Apr 24: On the fourth consecutive day, NSUI continued protest against Jammu University for highlighting the demands for change in the pattern of JUET and re-evaluation of answer scripts.
The NSUI activists and students assembled at Government Degree College Paloura, and held a strong protest against the university. They raised slogans against the Jammu University Vice-Chancellor and demanded change in JUET entrance pattern as well as re-evaluation system adopted by the University.
Protest was led by Avjot Singh, State secretary NSUI, who said that the students need to get aware of discriminatory policies of Jammu University. He also briefly explained the three demands of NSUI i.e, change in JUET entrance pattern, equal weightage to academic and entrance test and best of two in re-evaluation system.
Avjot Singh also alleged that the JU Vice Chancellors Prof R D Sharma had adopted a callous attitude towards the students and the same would not be acceptable to the NSUI, which will continue to raise voice against the anti- student policies.
Nishant Gupta, NSUI State Secretary, claimed massive support of common students on the issues. He announced to take these protests to every college in Jammu.
Sunny Parihar Jammu District president, along with Mehram Kohli, Rahul Bhagat, Nishkami and C K Sharma, were also present in the protest and said that the NSUI was fighting for the genuine cause of the students. The Jammu University should take these issues seriously and act upon as soon as possible for welfare of students, the added.
