SAMBA, Mar 19: The students and staff members of Naveen Shiksha Kendra, Bari Brahmana, Samba contributed Rs 35,000 in favour of HelpAge India (Vridh Ashram) for the welfare of needy and aged people.
A cheque of the amount was handed over to Neeru Sharma, Senior Executive HelpAge India. All the students who collected and contributed for the cause were felicitated by the organisation.
Three students namely Shashi Pal, the student of 8th class , Akriti Salaria, student of 5th class and Ayush Kumar, student of 8th class who contributed the maximum were specially awarded.
The teacher, Renuka Charak, Vice-Principal Pratibha Jamwal and Principal Rajeev Slathia of the school were also felicitated by HelpAge India for encouraging the students for their contribution to fight for the cause of isolated, poor, needy and neglected elders.
