NSF, PSCF celebrate 110th birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh

JAMMU, Sept 28: National Secular Forum (NSF) PG MAM College Unit, Jammu and Pensioners and Senior Citizens Forum (PSCF) Kashmir at their two different functions held at Jammu and Ganderbal in Kashmir valley respectively paid tributes to martyr Bhagat Singh  who laid his life for the country on his 110 th birth anniversary today.

NSF organized the programmed in MAM College. Amid slogans “Bhagat Singh Amar Raha” ‘Inqulaab Zindabad” ‘Bharat Mata ki jai”, they paid tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, and garlanded the portrait of this great freedom fighter and revolutionary. Dr.Vikas Sharma State president NSF was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr. Sharma in his address appreciated the initiative taken by the NSF member and MAM College students to remember the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. He was considered to be one of the most famous revolutionaries of the Independence movement, he added.
Pardeep Sharma NSF leader threw light on the life and teachings of Bhagat Singh. Anshu Sharma president MAM College also paid tributes to this great leader.
At Ganderbal the members of Pensioners and Senior Citizens Forum met under the leadership of its patron Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani a veteran trade union leader to pay tributes to Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh.
In his address Mir said Bhagat Singh was a great patriot and revolutionary who sacrificed his life for the cause of millions of Indians to see their future bright and rid them from the rule of Britishers. He regretted that after the 70 years of Independence the country has still to go a long way in realizing the dream of Bhagat Singh and other martyrs like Chander Shekhar Azad, Raj Guru, Sukh Dev and Ushfaq Ullah.
He said the best tribute to this great martyr would be that we should be honest in our deeds and actions and serve the oppressed and suppressed people of the country to bring happiness in their lives. Sheikh Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shilvati, Ab Rashid Hajam, Abdul Razak and others spoke on the occasion.
