JAMMU, Dec 29: Nationalist Student Congress (NSC), the student wing of NCP, today criticized the J&K Government for its hollow claims of development in the State.
Addressing a press conference here today, National president of NSC, Dheeraj Sharma along with National general secretary, Murli Manhor Pandey said that after visiting some areas of Jammu province it has pained him and his party activists that the pace of development throughout the State is disgusting and an eyewash.
It is shocking and alarming that funds are not being used properly and honestly by the concerned agencies of the Government despite the fact that J&K gets huge financial assistance and funds from the Central Government.
“Where these funds go is best known to the present dispensation. We want proper investigation for utilization of funds”, they said, adding, the present Government is claiming smart city for Jammu but it seems in theory only; see the quality of material used for roads, drains, by lanes; it is nothing but eyewash.
“If we talk about the welfare of the educated student community one gets depressed and irritated to know that the student community are deprived from getting their livelihood and jobs or other financial assistance for their survival”, they regretted.
