JAMMU, Dec 7: National Panthers Students Union has demanded withdrawal of FIR against Jammu youth, who were implicated in Police cases during  different student agitations in the last 15 years.
While addressing a press conference, here today, the NPSU president Thakur Virender Singh said that the nationalist people of Jammu have always served the nation in best possible ways and have sacrificed their lives for our motherland.
“The youth of Jammu are fully devoted to motherland and have never been involved in any kind of anti-national activists. Contrary to this,  the people of Kashmir,  especially the youth of Kashmir have  been doing anti-national activities and posing  threat for national security. However, the PDP-BJP Government is rewarding these anti-nationals by withdrawing  FIRs and giving them jobs whereas there has been no relaxation for the Jammu youth, who were implicated in Police cases during genuine agitations here,” he explained.
Singh said that if the Government talks about equality between the two provinces then the Government  must withdraw the FIRs lodged against the youth of Jammu as their offences are nothing as compared to the youth of Kashmir. “FIRs lodge against Jammuites need to be withdrawn as fact of the matter is that these agitations were started against  injustice with Jammu region and people who participated in the agitations were booked under different offences in order to suppress the voice of people,” he added.
The NPSU leader warned that if the State Government does not positively respond to their  demand, there will a mass agitation and the PDP-BJP regime would be responsible for the consequences.
Others,  who were present in the press conference, included Lovely Singh and  Chetan Sharma.
