NPP protests BJP-PDP failure to evict Rohingyas, Bangladeshis

JAMMU, June 22: Expressing serious concern over the issue of purchase of immovable properties by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in and around Jammu and Samba districts besides encroachment of State lands by the said illegal immigrants a strong contingent of Panthers activists led by  its chairman Harsh Dev Singh  and State president Young Panthers YP Kundal and other leaders staged a protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground here today.
The enraged protesters shouted ‘Rohingyas quit Jammu and  Bangladeshis Go back’ and raised anti-Govt slogans.

Talking to media at the venue, Harsh Dev said that foreign immigrants had been unlawfully settled in clusters along the outskirts of Jammu city and Samba by several NGOs and Madrassas as per the disclosures made by the State Government. He divulged that in the recent development a group of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis had reportedly managed to buy land on the outskirts of Jammu city besides raising construction on JDA lands by procuring PRCs, Aadhar Cards and Ration cards pointing towards a larger conspiracy behind their settlement in Dogra land.
Describing these “ticking time bombs” being prone to ‘Jehadi extremism’ in the militancy hit state, he revealed that they were under the continuous surveillance of the intelligentsia who had already cautioned the local authorities with further directives to keep a vigil on them as Pakistan based LeT was trying to exploit them for carrying out terror activities in India and J&K in particular. He further revealed that they were already indulged in drug trafficking, flesh trade, child abductions, begging and other crimes as admitted by the State Govt that 17 FIRs had been registered against them for criminal cases besides 38 FIRs for illegal border crossings.
Terming the soaring population of Rohingyas as a potential threat to the demography of Jammu Pradesh, Harsh Dev said that the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley followed by hegemony of separatists in Kashmir, glorification of militants, incentives and jobs to stone pelters amid the unlawful settlement of immigrants in the city of temples was undoubtedly manipulative and dangerous.
He warned the BJP to take serious cognizance of the security threat posed by them in the wake of recent terror attacks in the State and urged the Union Home Ministry to ensure their deportation to the native countries.
