NPP to fight against change in Jammu’s demography: Mankotia

KATHUA, May 29: Lambasting the BJP-PDP Coalition Government for its failure to act against the illegally settled Bangladeshis and Mayanmar nationals in Jammu, J&K Panthers Party’s State president Balwant Singh Mankotia warned that party will not allow any body to change the demography of Jammu and thwart such moves with tooth and nail.
He appealed the people of Jammu region to write slogans on their walls to intensify the movement of  separate Jammu State.
Haq-insaaf yatra, started for separate Jammu State Movement on  April Ist by NPP leader,  reached Kathua here today.  Leading the yatra,  Mankotia intensified the wall writing campaign at Kathua in presence of district president Robin Sharma with hundreds of party activists. He informed the workers that party has launched the wall writing campaign at RS Pura, Bishnah, Gharota- Gour,  Bhalwal, Udhampur and would intensify the campaign in other parts of Jammu region to garner the support of masses for separate Jammu state.
Criticising the Central and State Government for its failure to act against illegally settled Bangladeshi and Mayanmar nationals in Jammu, former MLA Udhampur  said that till date no steps have been taken to deport them from Jammu and resentment among masses is brewing day by day. Mankotia cautioned that in a well design conspiracy these Mayanmar and Bangladeshi nationals were settled to change the demography and situation would be created to throw out the nationalist people from Jammu and warned that Panthers Party will not allow anyone to change the demography of peaceful Jammu region.
Meanwhile, Mankotia met the  protesting Multipurpose Health Workers sitting on dharna from last 15 days here and assured them full support of the party. He criticized the Government for not releasing the salary of protesting Multipurpose Health Workers.
