JAMMU, Sept 17: J&K National Panthers Party (NPP), Dogra Saddar Sabha, SOS International- an organization of PoK DPs, Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry and several other organizations have supported Jammu bandh on Monday.
Appealing to all sections of civil society for a united, concerted fight against Jammu’s bias and BJP’s somersaults, NPP chairman Harsh Dev Singh has said that all people should support Jammu bandh on September 18. He said delimitation of Assembly constituencies, Dogri Satellite channel for Jammu, Dogra certificate for Jammu youth, declaration of holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth day and on Accession day, plots for border dwellers in safer zones, construction of bunkers across the LoC and IB, state subject rights to WPR, equitable share to Jammu region in employment and allocation of funds, 5% vertical reservation for ex-servicemen and martyrs families, state subjects and property rights to children of daughters of J&K married outside State etc which formed the core philosophy and election manifesto highlights of BJP were repeatedly reminded by civil society to the Central as well as State BJP, but were most contemptuously discarded.
The BJP was indulging in double standards and duplicity over the issues of deportation of Rohingyas and Art 35A leading to huge public resentment against the saffron brigade. He said the people have completely lost faith in the BJP  and the Jammu bandh on  September 18 would receive massive public response. He called upon JKNPP activists to appeal to all sections of society to observe a complete peaceful bandh on Monday against the unprecedented era of bias experienced by Jammu region during the ominous BJP rule.
Dogra Saddar Sabha (DSS) president and former minister Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak also  supported the  protest call given by Chamber of Traders Federation Jammu and the bandh call given by Chamber for Commerce and Industries (CCI) Jammu as the Toll Tax is being levied till date is in contravention to the spirit of GST. He also condemned the repeated cease fire violations by Pakistan and asked the Government to fully compensate the victims who are injured or have lost their lives in Pakistan’s unprovoked firing and also for the damaged crops and live stock/cattle.
Meanwhile, SOS International, an organisation of Displaced Persons from PoK has decided to extend full support to Jammu bandh call given by Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) on Monday against the statement of State BJP president particularly underprivileged execution of BJP Ministers  and other issues of Jammu.
Chairman of the SOS Intl, Rajiv Chuni alleged that  two  BJP Members of Parliament had registered thumping victory in 2014 general elections because PoK Displaced Persons cast their precious votes to them in hope of witnessing ‘Achche Din’ (Good days) but it remained just a farce slogan even after the lapse of 3 years of Modi Government in Centre. He said that performance of the Jammu ministers has remained dismal  and Central leadership must take note of it.
Chuni further advocated that last ruler of  Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary should  be declared as State  holiday adding, that it has been paramount desire of people of the State.
He appealed to people of all the three regions of the State to extend full support to Jammu bandh and observe complete shutdown on Monday so that a concrete message can be delivered to leaders who have taken public for granted.
Jammu West Assembly Movement president Sunil Dimple also supported the Jammu bandh call and appealed to the people of Jammu to observe complete strike on Monday. He also took out rally in New Plot and Sarwal area and appealed to the people to observe strike on Monday.
