NPP celebrating Accession Day on Oct 27

JAMMU, Oct 24: Chairman of the National Panthers Party and former Minister Harshdev Singh has said that NPP would celebrate  68th Accession Day on October 27.
Talking to media persons here today NPP chairman said that to eulogize patriotic sentiments and values,  his Party has decided to celebrate “68th Accession Day” of the State of Jammu & Kashmir with the Union of India on October 27, 2015. Speaking on the historic importance of the event he recalled that Maharaja Hari Singh on  October 26, 1947 signed the Instrument of Accession at Amar Palace in Jammu which was duly accepted and signed by Lord Mountbaten the then Governor General of India on October 27, 1947 in Delhi. He said that by virtue of this instrument, the State of J&K became an integral part of India.
Mr Singh exhorted the people to celebrate the `Accession Day’ on Tuesday,  with fervor, gaiety and enthusiasm by hoisting  Tricolour atop their homes and shops early in the morning to uphold the National pride and honour. He claimed that NPP shall hoist the National flag at all the District headquarters on this day and thereafter, a huge car rally shall be taken out in the Jammu city to mark the celebration which would finally culminate at Maharaja Hari Singh Park where the Party leaders shall unfurl the  national flag.
