NPP activists pay tributes to Mankotia’s father

JAMMU, Mar 7: Working Committee of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (NPP) and party activists paid rich tributes to Thakur Mast Ram, father of NPP State president Balwant Singh Mankotia (Ex-MLA), who passed away at Udhampur this morning.
In the meeting held here under the chairmanship of Harshdev Singh, former Minister, the participants condoled the sad and unfortunate demise of Mast Ram Thakur. Mankotia’s father breathed his last in the ICU of Army Hospital, Udhampur.
Thakur Mast Ram was an Ex-serviceman who commanded a Para-Military unit during the ‘Operation Hyderabad’. His courage and skill exercised in the ‘Hyderabad operation’ won great admiration. He was married to Surju Devi, elder sister of Prof Bhim Singh. Late Thakur leaves behind three sons and three daughters.
The Working Committee in a resolution conveyed heart-felt condolences to Balwant Singh and the family expressing full sympathy and praying for peace to the departed soul in the heavens.
Prof Bhim Singh, Yashpal Kundal Ex-MLA, Anita Thakur, B B Kotwal adv, Ch Mohd Iqbal, Masood Andrabi, Bansi Lal Sharma, Jagdev Singh, HC Jalmeria Adv, S Paramjeet Singh Marshal, Pushvinder Singh Manhas, Vilakshan Singh advocate, Gagan Pratap Singh, Sewa Singh Bali, Neeraj Gupta and others were also present.
