HIRANAGAR, Jan 28: Novelty Football Club and Gurha Slathia Football Club defeated their rivals in the quarterfinals to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing Hiranagar Invitational Gold Cup Football Tournament at Sports Stadium, here.
In the first match, Gurha Slathia FC defeated HFC-A via tie-breaker by four goals to three (4-3), while in another match, Novelty FC Srinagar thrashed Football Club United Kathua by five goals to one (5-1) to enter the last four stage.
The matches were officiated by Rahul Sharma, Rahul Ghai and Abhimanyu.
Romesh Singh Jasrotia, Lecturer Physical Education was the chief guest on the occasion, who interacted with the players of all the teams.
