Notorious woman drug peddler arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, Aug 10: Narwal police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested a notorious woman drug peddler along with 6 kilograms of cannabis (ganja).
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Narwal police post laid a naka near Wave Mall and intercepted a lady, who was trying to escape after seeing police cops.
During checking, police recovered 6 kilograms of cannabis from the possession of the lady and arrested her.
The arrested lady was a notorious drug peddler and has been identified as Seema, wife of Manu Kumar of Rajasthan, at present Rajiv Nagar Narwal.
With the arrest of drug peddler, police achieved a major success to save the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 185/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the arrested notorious woman drug peddler at police station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal police post SI Vikram Manhas along with ASI Mohammad Iqbal made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Bharat Sharma, SDPO East Arun Jamwal and SP Sandeep Choudhary.
