RAJOURI, May 6: The District Administration Rajouri has issued notices to about 70 people who have illegally encroached road from Kotranka to Khawas, creating obstacle for the agency executing the work.
An official spokesman said that in pursuance of the decision taken in review meeting of mega projects of Darhal constituency under the chairmanship of Minister for Education, Haj and Auqaf and Tribal Affairs, Ch Zulfkar Ali and as directed by DDC, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, a committee headed by ADC Kotranka Shafiq Ahmed, Suptt Engineer PWD Rajouri/Poonch Abdul Majid Khan, Xen PWD Mushtaq Raina, AEE Shakil Qureshi, AEE PDD, Jamshaid Ahmed, AEE PHE, alonwith Naib Tehsildar Kandi in supporting staff took an extensive tour of Kotranka -Khawas road and served notices to 70 persons.
The land grabbers were asked to remove the encroachments by way of raising construction of shops and houses and utilities of departments within three days, so as to avoid losses to their properties in case of administrative action by launching special drive using JCBs/ machines.
