NEW DELHI: On a day political parties like Trinamool Congress and National Conference reportedly ‘watered down’ the all-party resolution and declined to name Pakistan for Pulwama attack, senior BJP leader Ram Madhav on Saturday maintained that the effect would be more if the global community puts Pakistan in such a category at par with countries like Syria and Iraq.
“I take your point we should have declared Pakistan a terrorist state….we have withdrawn MFN status given to Pakistan. But what is more important is that the global community should declare Pakistan a terrorist state, just as they have done with Syria and Iraq,” BJP general secretary Ram Madhav told a private TV channel.
His observations come on a day, there were reports that National Conference and Trinamool Congress suggested at the meeting that there should be a ‘diluted’ version of the official resolution and Pakistan need not be named. (AGENCIES)
