UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: In a pointed reference to controversy pivoting around alleged murder-cum-rape at Rassana (Hiranagar), MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania, today said that there is no space for politics on religion, region, caste or emotions.
The MLA said that the given the train and trajectory of developments in the last few days, it looks as if some disgruntled, mandate-less and spent up forces, both on this and that side of the tunnel, have ganged up to spur up communal tensions in the State.
“Sorry and surprising to observe that people and leaders who neither have ever lived or visited the area nor have any care or concern for the inter-religion brotherhood of the people of the area, are trying to fan communal passions and breed rancour amongst communities”, he said while addressing a massive gathering at Dak Bungalow, Ramnagar.
Pathania emphasized for an objective and professional investigation of the case. “The officials and authorities should desist from harassing innocent peoples in the name of investigation. There are stories and episodes which have still awaiting to be unfolded. And it appears as if the pith and substance of the story lies on the other boot. Law should take its own course and truth should ultimately prevail”, he added.
On the occasion he informed the people that process of establishment of Kendriya Vidalya at Ramnagar has been initiated and the directions issued to Revenue Department for identification of appropriate State land. He further informed that a Model Higher Secondary School has come up at Ramnagar, and HSS Basantgarh as well as HSS Majalta will be developed as model institutes par excellence.
Pathania further informed the people that a state-of-art multipurpose stadium is coming up at Ramnagar which will provide opportunities to local youth who are well talented but lack requisite opportunities and infrastructure.
