JAMMU, July 13: Stressing for decisive moves against cross border terror in Kashmir, the former Union Minister, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta said that no soft approach would work as the enemies of peace and tranquillity are out to create problems for the mankind and challenges to the security environment.
Referring to the terror attack on the bus pilgrims in Kashmir killing seven persons including six women and injuring several others, Prof Gupta termed it as not only most heinous act but also a part of a dangerous design to harm the communal harmony in the Country.
Prof Gupta further said that it was good that the people in and outside the State while demonstrating their anger marked their maturity and frustrated move of the enemies of tranquillity, adding that in addition to bringing to book the operators of the inhuman act, the elements engineering and supporting the violence also should not be spared.
He said said that dangers inherent in extremism and radicalization are being realized all over the civilized world.
“Hence, there is also need to channelize their feelings to inflict real blow to this menace. Mere denouncing the sad incidents would not work. There is the dire need for cooperative moves and actions to have effective results and ensure peace which is must for progress and prosperity,” Prof Gupta added.
