No road project cleared under CRF by Union Govt

JAMMU, Jan 27: Minister for Roads and Buildings (R&B), Abdul Rehman Veeri today said that Union Government has not cleared any road project under CRF during the current financial year so far.
Replying to the question of National Conference MLA Mohammad Akbar Lone in the Lower House, the Minister admitted that no new project has been sanctioned so far under CRF during 2016-17. He, however, said that the department has submitted a proposal of 139 road/bridge projects at an estimated cost of Rs 2075.80 crore to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for sanction/approval under CRF.
“The works will be executed after these projects are approved by the Ministry”, he made it clear.
