JAMMU, Mar 30: Department of Hindi and Department of Students Welfare University of Jammu  organized the performance of  “No Man’s Land”  -A Hindi Drama written by Narendra Mohan today in General Zorawar Singh Auditorium.
Vice Chancellor, Jammu University Prof. R.D Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion who also congratulated Department of Hindi and Department of Students Welfare for organising the successful drama in Jammu University.
Prof. R.D. Sharma also encouraged all the students present in the auditorium to participate in more and more such activities. He said that partition is one of the biggest tragedy ever happened in world. Vice Chancellor also distributed participation certificates to the performing artistes. The play was about the partition which took place in India almost 68 years ago. The play revolved around the three stories of Manto “Toba Tek Singh”, “Thanda Gosht and “Khol do”.
The play was directed and designed by Ms Ifra Kak, first woman theatre director of the State who is academically trained and presently is working as the Cultural Officer in Department of Students Welfare University of Jammu and was assisted by Sunil Sharma. Prof. Parmeshwari  Sharma head department of Hindi welcomed the chief guest & audience. On this occasion she said that Hindi Natak aur Rangmanch is
compulsory and an important component of the syllabus in PG Fourth semester, in order to make the students aware about the technicalities of the presentation of a written text and theatre.
