KATHUA, Feb 12: Senior Congress leader and former MLA Billawar  Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today  accused the BJP Government causing damage to the economy of the country with demonetization  and alleged that it had no impact on the black money.
Addressing a large gathering at Billawar town today, Dr Sharma  termed this move of the Modi Govt  as the biggest failure ever in the history of  India. He said the Prime Minister failed to take any concrete step in actual to tackle the menace of black money in country. He said Modi tried to befool  the  people of the nation by shifting their attention towards  demonetization from the actual issues in the country.
The Congress leader said that the demonetization step taken by Modi Government had negligible impact on black money as only 0.5 % black money could have  been checked, but  many other activities which encourage and promote black money are still going on  and not a single initiative has been taken by Modi Government to check the further growth of  black money in future.
Dr Sharma alleged the Modi and his people conveyed the decision to  the nears and dears both in corporate and in political circle so that they may able to manage the things in time. He asked  why the Modi Government is hesitating to reply the five questions asked by  Rahul Gandhi even after a lapse of more than one month. The wrong and unplanned  decision of demonetization badly effected the health of Indian economy due to which the GDP has showed decline.
Senior Congress leaders Ashok Sharma,  Subhash Gupta and  Mohinder  Bhardwaj also addressed the gathering and attacked Modi Govt on demonetization decision. They alleged that Modi himself is responsible for the set back to the Indian economy as he did not take anyone into confidence before going for such a step.
