No ‘front’ can stand in front of Modi: Dr Jitendra

BASOHLI, July 14: Union Minister in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh while lashing out at the desperate antics of disgruntled opposition, said, “no ‘front’ can stand in front of Prime Minster Narendra Modi”.
Addressing a public meeting cum Ujjwala beneficiaries programme at Mahanpur near here today, Dr Jitendra Singh said these parties can never succeed in their machinations.
Taking a dig at the Third Front, Fourth Front and other such fronts sought to be put up by Congress and other Opposition parties, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the very motivation behind putting up such fronts is the unspoken admission of the fact that none of these parties have the strength or support to face the popularity and universal acceptability of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. “The more these parties try to come together, in vain, to put up such so called fronts against Modi and BJP, the more they are destined to be rejected by the people of this country”, he added.
Referring to regular statements issued by Congress and its allied making unsubstantiated allegations against Modi, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is an evidence of the fact that they are shy of referring to their own leaders who enjoy no following in the masses and therefore, they cling on to the name of Modi, albeit in critical terms, in order to seek some slot in the media.
For example, he said, even in the Jammu region, if the Congress leadership refers to Rahul Gandhi, it tends to lose whatever vote it has and similarly, if National Conference (NC) leaders refer to Sheikh Abdullah, they instantly invite the wrath and resentment of the people of Jammu, which is why, they prefer to refer to Modi and other BJP leaders instead of referring to their own party leaders.
Reiterating that for BJP, “Vikas” is the only Dharma while our guiding principle is “justice for all, appeasement to none”, Dr Jitendra Singh said, “we do not subscribe to the hypocritic approach of Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, who turn Janau-e-dhari Brahmins while in Gujarat and become Muslims in Delhi”.
On the occasion, Dr Jitendra Singh announced that Rs 2.35 crores has been released from his MP Fund for various works in Basohli, Billawar and Bani Assembly constituencies. Some of the important works from this fund, he said, included solar lights and toilet complexes at the Atal Setu Bridge, solar electrification of Dadwara school, bus for Navodaya Vidyalaya Basohli and Examination Hall at Machhedi. He informed that the survey has been completed for the new National Highway from Lakhanpur via Basohli, Bani up to Doda through Chhattergalla tunnel which would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3500 crores.
Earlier, Dr Jitendra Singh distributed documents to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Scheme and elaborated on the various pro-poor schemes launched by the Modi Government. District president BJP and MLA Jeevan Lal and Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rohit Khajuria, as well as senior local activists including Gopal Mahajan, Uttam Ji, Pawan Chauhan, Ganesh Basotra, Capt.(retd) Om Prakash, Kuldeep Abrol, Narayan Dutt Tripathi, Shyam Singh, Thakur Das, Surender Singh Balloria and Amrik Singh were present on the occasion.
