No dearth of funds for developmental projects: Zulfkar

RAJOURI, Mar 2:  Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today conducted an extensive tour of Darhal constituency of Rajouri district.
The Minister visited Rakiban, Darhal, Prori and interacted with the people. The locals briefed the Minister regarding various problems like scarcity of potable water, power supply, lack of interior link roads, old age and widow pensions and special recruitment camps for unemployed youths.
Responding to the demands of the locals, the Minister said that all issues and projected demands will be resolved in due course of time after taking up the same with concerned officers. He urged the officials and officers of various departments to prove their best in solving the public grievances and timely completion of sanctioned developmental projects.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement of the present Coalition Government during the past two years, the Minister said the present Government is fully committed for overall development of all the regions of the State. He said there is no paucity of funds as it was in the past and projects worth crores of rupees have been taken up in the State and now the dearth of funds is not an obstacle for the development.
He said that special focus is being paid on those regions which were neglected in the past. Many important developmental projects have been completed in the State and work is going on many other projects which when completed will benefit large area of the State.
Stressing on need for timely completion of developmental works, the Minister asked the executive agencies to gear up their men and machinery so that the developmental projects could be completed well it time and the benefit of these projects could percolate to people of the area.
