NMC urges Jaitley to clear stand over 7th Pay Commission

JAMMU, Mar 3: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) urged Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to clarify his stand over implementation of the 7th Pay Commission.
Addressing a rally of NMC activists, President of the Conference Subash Shastri expressed surprise over ignorance of 7th Pay Commission in the budget speech by Arun Jaitley and urged him to come up with the announcement in the current session of the Parliament.
While terming the overall budget as a developmental one and promoting growths, Shastri also expressed dismay over the un-changed tax slabs in respect of Government employees.
Stressing on the need for increasing the retirement age of Jammu Co-Operative Wholesale Limited Employees from 58 to 60 at par with State Government employees, Shastri urged Governor NN Vohra to intervene personally and issue necessary directions to the concerned authorities for implementation of the said order.
Shastri also demanded reorganisation of the Floriculture Department beside technical grade to field staff of the department, release of 6 per cent DA due from July last in favour of State Government employees and pensioners and release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in various department of the State Government.
