JAMMU, Sept 11: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today demanded release of pending two per cent DA instalment from July in favour of State Government employees and pensioners.
NMC president Subash Shastri while addressing a NMC workers meet demanded early amendment in SRO-520, creation of wage head for regularly disbursement of wages of daily rated workers, issuance of orders of regularization of 180 daily rated workers working in the Rural Development Department falling under SRO 64 and release of all pending wages of causal labourers working in PDD, PHE, Public Works Department and Irrigation and Flood Control Department.
He also demanded enhancing the wages of daily rated workers to Rs 500 per day and release of 7th pay commission arrears in one go to state pensioners.
Those who were present in the meeting included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Darshan Bawa, Surinder Kumar, Bopinder Singh and others.
