Nine injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Apr 15: Nine persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two passengers of a Sumo bearing registration number JK06-3734 were injured when it turned turtle at Sidhra. They were identified as Irfan Ali (27) son of Abdul Kabir and Wasim Ahmed (18) son of Mohd Ramjan, resident of Doda.
Two women and a young girl sustained injuries when a Maruti car on which they were travelling in, collided with a wall in Janipur area. The injured were identified as Nikita daughter of Bharat Bushan, resident of Dalpatian, her mother, Rita Devi (50) and Pinky Rani (50) wife of Ashwani Sharma.
In another mishap, three people were injured at Jagti in Nagrota area when the bike on which they were going on, was hit by a speeding truck. The injured persons were identified as Peter (40) son of Ram Charan, resident of Ustad Mohalla (Jammu), his daughter, Janis (14) and wife, Reena (40).
A man identified as Vika Ram (40) son of Puran Chand, resident of Gharkhal (Akhnoor), got injured when an auto in which he was travelling, was hit by a tractor at Gharkhal.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College & the concerned police had taken cognizance.
