Night golfing soon at Jammu Tawi Golf Course: Secretary

JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Tawi Golf Course will soon introduce night golfing at Sidhra located golf course here on city outskirts.
“We are soon going to introduce night golfing by installing two high mask lights in the coming days,” said Hitesh Gupta, Secretary Jammu Tawi Golf Course.
Gupta said that the golfers, who can spare time for the sport, can play it whenever they want to but the members, including office goers and the government employees, sometimes are not able to continue with their regular game due to their arrival during late hours when it is often getting dark.
“So, keeping their concern in mind, two high mask lights are being installed and the facility of night golfing is most probably be introduced in a month,” said the Secretary.
He added that initially the lights are to be installed at the ninth and the 18th holes, adding, “the golfers arriving at the spot in the evening hours when start playing from the ninth hole, by the time they reach to the 18th hole, the sun sets.”
“Now the late coming golfers can enjoy golf till 2200 hrs,” he added.
Situated in the area of 1400 kanals of land, Jammu Tawi Golf Course is a complete 18 hole golf course of international standard.
