JAMMU, Jan 17: Nidhi Anand, daughter of Ashok Kumar Anand, resident of Nowshera, District Rajouri has brought laurels to the State as she has been awarded Young Scientist Award in International Conference on “New Horizons in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences” organized by Sheetal Life Sciences, Dehradun at Dehradun, Uttarakhand recently.
In the conference about 600 delegates from across the country and abroad presented their research papers.
Nidhi presented her research work on “Taxonomic and Molecular Identification of Verpa bohemica: A Newly Explored Fungi from Rajouri District of J&K, India”.
She has explored this fungi species for the first time ever from Rajouri District and has determined the phylogenetic inter-relationship of the fungi with other different species of fungi.
