Nickel strengthens on rising demand

NEW DELHI, Mar 31:Nickel prices rose by Rs 5 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on the back of rising demand from consuming industries.
Traders said surging demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot market led to the rise in nickel prices.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4×4) advanced by Rs 5 to Rs 810-815 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 126-132, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 810-815, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 415, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 125, lead imported Rs 132, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148. (PTI)
