Nickel slides on tepid demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 27:
Nickel prices weakened by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said fall in demand consuming industries at domestic spot market, mainly led to decline in nickel prices.
In the national capital, nickel plate (4×4) fell by Rs 2 Rs 835-840 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 108-114, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 835-840, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 368, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 95, lead imported Rs 101, aluminium ingots Rs 156, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 152, aluminium wire scrap Rs 152 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 150. (PTI)
