Nickel futures down on muted spot demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 11: Nickel futures traded 1 per cent down at Rs 690.20 per kg today as speculators reduced exposure amid muted demand at the domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery this month shed Rs 7, or 1 per cent, to Rs 690.20 per kg in a business turnover of 1,971 lots.
The metal for delivery in November too fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 695 per kg in 100 lots.
Market analysts said the fall in nickel prices was mostly in tune with a weak trend in the base metals at the domestic spot markets due to subdued demand. (PTI)
