NEW DELHI, Apr 24: Nickel prices edged higher by 0.08 per cent to Rs 953.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up positions amid uptick in demand from alloy-makers at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in May edged up by 80 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 953.50 per kg in a business turnover of 367 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April inched up by 30 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 949.80 per kg in 3,791 lots.
Analysts said traders created fresh positions on improved demand from alloy-makers in the physical markets, influencing nickel prices at futures trade. (PTI)
