JAMMU, Mar 18: NHPC Limited in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra, organized a Free Breast Cancer Screening Camp in the premises of NHPC Regional Office at Narwal, Jammu with an initiative to reach out the needy people especially women folk to screen them for breast cancer and educate them on early detection.
The Camp was inaugurated by Anjali Kalgaonkar in presence of S Kalgaonkar, Executive Director, NHPC, Yoginder Kotha, Chief Engineer (Civil), senior officers of NHPC and Medical Team from Narayana Hospital.
A large number of female employees and female dependents of employees marked their presence in the camp. S Kalgaonkar thanked Medical fraternity of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra, for collaborating with NHPC for the noble cause.
About 32 females benefitted from the Screening Camp. The Superspeciality Narayana Hospital conducted the screening camp in a specially designed mobile breast cancer screening bus equipped fully with Mammography unit.
