JAMMU, Oct 8: A meeting of Navratra Festival’s All India Devotional Song Committee (NFAIDSC) organised by SMVD Shrine Board and J&K Tourism in association with Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra and other organizations was held here today under the chairmanship of its chairman Rakesh Wazir.
The meeting took major decisions as well as announcements of Navratra Festival Committee were made public including increasing of prize money from Rs 1 lac to 2 lac for the 1st prize winner of the competition in addition to recording contract with Venus Records and Tapes Ltd.
Wazir, while announcing the unanimous decisions of the committee said that for the smooth conduct of the Devotional Song Competition several sub- committees are being formed which will be headed by different persons including the committee for recommending the names of judges and that will be headed by Swami Yoganand ji Maharaj, Media and Publicity committee will be headed by Rakesh Sharma and Protocol Committee will be headed by Shyam Lal Kesar.
Similarly the committee for stage setting and seeing the arrangements of public as well as sitting arrangements will be headed by Sardari Lal Dubey, Committee for management and conducting of auditions would be headed by Sanjay Kumar and Committee for providing free accommodation on behalf of Hotel Association to the media persons and other people connected with festival will be headed by Virender Kesar.
Wazir said that till now the media partnership agreements with Shradha channel, Zee News, India News, 92.7 Big FM, Zee Anmol are in final phase and would be signed within one or two days and as for as other arrangements are concerned they are almost complete and every effort would be made to make this event a grand success.
The meeting among the heads of sub committees was attended by Madan Agarwal, Rattan Singh Manhas, Vivek Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Subhash Chander, Parbhat Singh, Virender Mattoo etc.
