Need to promote Ayurveda System of Medicines: Rajesh

JAMMU, Dec 26: MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta today said that as Ayurveda is the part of our culture, we need to promote it and strengthened it further.
Gupta suggested that the Government Ayurveda Hospital, Jammu should consider opinion of local leaders while organizing free medical camps and should organize seminars for the general public also.
The MLA was addressing a meeting of governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu, which held today in the office chamber of Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
During the meeting, the members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti apprised the MLA about the activities and medical aid camps being organized in various areas of Jammu by the staff of the Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu. It was also informed that during the period from April 2016 to November 2016 more than 24, 000 patients has been examined and treated with free medicines provided by the Provincial Medical Store, ISM Jammu.
After discussion and detailed deliberations on the agenda, the decisions were taken unanimously in the interest of patient healthcare and it was impressed upon the Superintendent of the Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu to implement the decisions taken at the earliest.
Meeting ended with vote of thanks from Dr Rajnish Chander Sharma. Those who attended meeting include Dr Taran Singh, Medical Superintendent, Pardeep Sharma, member, governing body of RKS, Dr Saroj Sharma, ADMO Jammu, Dr Ajay Tickoo, Dr Aruna Bhat, Er Anil Kumar Basnotra, XEn PWD R&B, Er Avtar Singh AE PWD, Er VK Kundal, XEn PHE and Er Sanjiv Gupta, AE PHE.
