JAMMU, July 15: Nami Dogri Sanstha, ACMAA and Dogra Mandal Jammu jointly organised a felicitation function to honour and confer “Life Time Achievement Awards” to legendry poets of Jammu Yash Pal Yash, M L Dogra and Sham Talib.
Advocate Nidhi Kaila, president, youth wing, Nami Dogri Sanstha, Marina Jamwal, Agrima Gupta, Saanvi Gupta, Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Vishal Gupta, Manoj Bakshi, Surinder Singh Manhas, Suraj Singh, Joginder Pal, Vijay Anand, Chandan Kumar, Rakesh Masih and Sudesh Manhas were also felicitated for their notable contributions in the field of music and singing.
Speaker Assembly Kavinder Gupta was chief guest where as the function was presided over by D C Raina, former Advocate General of the State and Patron of Nami Dogri Sanstha. Sohail Kazmi was special guest and Yogacharaya Er S K Jain was special invitee.
The awardees presented an impressive musical programme on the occasion. The singer awardees presented lyrics of Yash Pal Yash, M L Dogra and Sham Talib in their melodious voice composed by Suraj Singh, Yash Pal Yash and Harish Kaila.
At the outset Capt Lalit Sharma read out the welcome address.
Kavinder Gupta congratulated the awarded artists and said that the creativity of the writers and artists give a positive direction to the society. He further said that art and culture help to develop a humane, disciplined, affectionate and meaningful society.
