JAMMU, Nov 5: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today  claimed that NDA Government has survived on UPA flagship programs like MNREGA, Aadhaar, DBT, Nirmal Abhiyan, Janani Suraksha Yogaja, Financial Inclusion Schemes, GST etc and this Govt has merely changed the names of the schemes to take credit.
” Indirectly Govt has appreciated the pro-people policies of UPA Government.  BJP is not implementing what it promised but it continued to promote the schemes launched by the previous UPA Government,” Bhalla maintained.
Interacting with people of Sanjay Nagar and Digiana in Gandhi Nagar Assembly constituency today, Congress leader said that due to lack of political direction and infighting between the coalition partners, the administration seems to be unbridled, which is the cause of concern for people whose grievances remain unresolved. He expressed dissatisfaction over steps taken by the administration in combating price rise or making utility services functional to the satisfaction of people.
Bhalla further said that J&K may have come under the GST regime along with the rest of the country but is still imposing Toll Tax on trucks carrying goods into the State, resulting in “double taxation”.
Congress leader assailed PDP-BJP for playing with the mandate of people by indulging in petty politicking.  He said politically sagacious people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh will teach the power hungry PDP and BJP a lesson when elections are held.
“The people want good governance, development and economic empowerment, which the duo ignored during its 30 month misrule”, he said adding that the two parties plunged the state into a virtual mess.
He  ridiculed the Govt for telling lies to the people and said this coalition relied only on falsehood and deceit.
Coming down heavily on the BJP-PDP alliance, Bhalla said this alliance was the result of the lust for power and added that the present dispensation failed in keeping its post poll promises.  He  said that the people of Jammu are feeling let down and betrayed, as their problems are accumulating with each passing day. He said the arrogance of power and lack of governance, has distanced the BJP from its core agenda, people of Jammu hugely realizing the mistake of putting them into the cradle of administration.
